What I Learned Today
It's not that I didn't learn anything today, it's just that it's been busy and scattered. I learned that I did not enjoy trying MacVim and that I do like the Why's Poignant Guide theme for TextMate.
I watched the Productivity for Programmers PeepCode screencast this morning, and it was pretty good. Not enough examples, but good content. The big takeaway for me was "make your goals concrete." This is something I've heard a lot, but it's always good to hear it again. Abstract goals end up with procrastination; concrete, achievable goals end up with results.
Tried out zsh today: it was ok, but didn't blow my mind, and I like knowing a shell (bash) that's ubiquitous. I think there's something there I don't know about, and I'm looking for input. I don't have comments turned on, but if you want to email me (crnixon at gmail dot com, where I get enough spam to choke a whale, so I'm not sure why I'm even trying to obscure that) I'll be excited to hear from you.
